August Ipsy Bag Makeup Review

Hi my name is Chloe and I love trying out new makeup. Every month I receive the Ipsy subscription bag. Here’s my review of August.

The Pore Purifying Face Mask from Biorace

It’s a clay mask that comes in an easy to squeeze tube. I personally prefer clay masks over sheet masks because either they don’t fit my face right or I just don’t feel like they do anything. On the bottle it says it has spirulina and tea tree oil in it. I can definitely tell there is tea tree oil in it from the smell. While wearing the mask the fragrance wasn’t very strong but it is when opening the bottle. It’s not restrictive or drying while wearing it. After I took it off I could see a brightening effect and my face felt fresher.

SLmissglam Angled Eye E61 Brush

SLmissglam Angled Eye E61 Brush

I have received many brushes from ipsy bag and they do the job. They are soft and blend well. All of the brushes I have received from this brand have had a similar look. They all have transparent handles filled with glitter. Mine was teal. They are cute for people who don’t mind a more girly look though they can appear cheap. I don’t think they are for everyone.

Suva Beauty Single Eyeshadow in Shade BBQ

Suva Beauty Single Eyeshadow in Shade BBQ

To be completely honest I don’t enjoy single eyeshadows that Ipsy sends just because I don’t ever get any use out of them and they never send me shades I enjoy. The eyeshadow itself is creamy and applies well. It’s a dark purple shimmer shade. I recommend it if you get a lot of use out of purples.

Beach Waterproof Mascara from Eyeko

The mascara isn’t clumpy and goes on smoothly. It isn’t very dramatic and gives a natural look. It lives up to its marketing that it can go from beach to bar. I can wear it all day with no smudging or residue left behind.

Confidence in a gel lotion from It Cosmetics

An oil free moisturizer for all skin types. It is super light on the skin. I rarely feel it on. Overall it feels moisturizing. I don’t think I would recommend it to those with super dry skin as my dryer patches of skin don’t feel moisturized enough. I like it but I wouldn’t replace my current moisturizer with it.
